The Epi mini hums sounded good in mine and I would guess they may be the same in the new reissue? In the past year I have been debating getting another Riviera but that durn slim taper D neck profile gives me the heeby jeeby's. IMHO this and the Casino are the only two Epi's that work with this headstock. I just couldn't play it without cramping up but I remember the sound and the way the body felt.
I really liked everything about the guitar except the slim taper D neck profile. I had one of these around the same vintage that Gregg is playing in the video.
